Awkward. awkward. horrible moment!
well, that's just a line from the book...not what the post is about. If by any good chance you have read PS i love you...then you must be aware of the writer, and if you by any chance you just saw the movie, (its a catastrophe! read the novel n you'll know! )
Anyways, unlike her few experimental ones, Thanks for the memories (which was ok!) the book of tomorrow (never made sense) , where rainbow ends (absolute delight....for my best friend :p), this one again establishes the supremacy of Cecelia...
Lucy Silchester has been living a life of lies. Reason:- Embarrassment, confusion etc etc...n then one day she receives request for appointment, its with her life!
n her life isn't what others know about, stories she has told, lies she has weaved...then she meets the man who introduces to her as her life! The guy who knows every bit and piece about her, her lies, is no more willing to let her continue digging the shithole for herself!
A very beautiful comedy...n after quite a while i saw the reflection of Holly (P.S I LOVE YOU ONE!) in Lucy.
loved her sarcasm and wittiness...
if your life has been kinda gloomy, do read!
Holly and Lucy are completely different from each other. Holly is a happy girl who loved her friends and Lucy shies from everyone. Lucy is more like the girl in The Book of Tomorrow. I think Lucy is like me or I am like Lucy- whichever way you like it.
ReplyDeletei m like her too, in some ways...though i am not that openly sarcastic...
Deleteholly tried...lucy havnt:P
ReplyDeleteseriously u tried holly??
Deleteseems like i m the only one who hasnt read it yet:(
ReplyDeleteoh btw..i really liked 'where the rainbow ends' (fr purely literary reasons, mind it!)!
purely literary reasons?? ahem ahem!
DeleteI loove Rainbows. Rosie and Alex are such a item. I ve given up on Ahern though; she gives fools like me false hope.
ReplyDeletei noe ahern gives false hopes but our life sucks n her doesn't...n i said lucy is like holly coz she is sarcastic, her situations r changed, book of tomorrow felt incomplete n direction less to me,while this n p.s. i love you had grip on the reader...btw i hvnt given up on cecelia:)
Deletetotally agree wid marooned....these movies n shit teach us believe in hopes.....
ReplyDeleteoh, c'mon its just mood swing...n behen this book is more about finding oneself then love!
